Jonah Chusid, owner of Chu's Meat Market

Welcome to Chu's Meat Market

When I opened Chu's Meat Market, I had one goal: give the kosher community access to the kind of premium meat usually reserved for high-end steakhouses. Meetings like this one — with a Wagyu supplier who flew in from Japan to sit down with us — are how we make sure every cut in our case lives up to that promise.

Jonah Chusid, Owner

Premium Quality

If we wouldn't cook it in our kitchen, we won't sell it to you! We have the highest quality standards for kosher meat.

Five Star Service

Built into the DNA of Chu's from Jonah's 15 years in hospitality, we provide the highest level of service to our clients.

Building Relationships

A single sale is easy. Earning your trust, week after week, dinner after dinner - that's the work we actually care about.

Transpart Sourcing

In an industry built on vague labels and hidden supply chains, you have the right to know what you're feeding your family.

Frozen is the real fresh

At Chu's, we flash-freeze our premium meats at their peak freshness to lock in flavor and nutrients. This ensures exceptional quality and extends the shelf life of every cut, so you can enjoy delicious, consistent results every time.

Questions About Us

What's the deal with kosher certification?

How our kashrus works: Chu’s doesn’t do any food processing on‑site, which is why we don’t have daily in‑store supervision. Every meat product we carry is kashered, nikkur/treibored, butchered, and vacuum‑sealed at the plant under full rabbinic supervision.

Double identification: Each piece arrives factory‑sealed with two simanim (tamper‑evident IDs, e.g., agency label/seal).

Who certifies the plants? Our two main suppliers are Letovim and Landsman Meat Company, both operating under STAR‑K certification.

A helpful comparison: It’s like buying a Meal Mart brisket at Costco or an Empire chicken at Trader Joe’s. Those stores may not be under a single hashgacha, but the pre‑packaged products are. The difference is that Chu’s is Jewish family-owned and operated, with your best interests in mind.

What makes Chu's Meat Market different?

Chu’s Meat Market is built on two pillars: best-in-class quality and truly 5-star service. We focus on exceptional sourcing, deep product knowledge, and a hands-on approach that helps customers buy better meat with confidence.

Where do you source your meat from?

We work directly with trusted American ranchers and producers known for consistency, animal welfare, and flavor. Our selection includes American Wagyu, premium Black Angus, pasture-raised poultry, and Colorado lamb. Each chosen for quality, not volume.

Is all your meat glatt kosher?

Yes. All of our meat is Glatt Kosher and certified by respected kosher authorities. We maintain strict standards across sourcing, processing, and handling to ensure transparency and trust at every step.
